Overplucked your brows as a teen? I’ve been there. So much so that I wish I had a brow serum on hand back then to prevent the too-tweezed damage.
Nowadays, brow growth serums are popping up everywhere—including in the April Allure Beauty Box. Inside the box is the Nulastin BROW Shape Altering Serum, which is packed with peptides to help boost elastin to strengthen hair at the root to prevent fallout.
“Brow serums can effectively promote the growth of fuller, thicker brows by stimulating stunted hair follicles and nourishing existing hair shafts,” Angela Brimhall, DO, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Sage Dermatology and MOHS Surgery in Draper, Utah, previously told Allure.
I’m not currently in the market for brow serum, but I do always need a brow gel. And while this one isn’t a true gel, it does have a clear formula that can absolutely double as a styler in a pinch.
For brow growth, though, here’s how I’d use it: After applying my full skin-care routine, I’d comb the spoolie through my brow hair in short, upward strokes. Then, I get used to it—because I’d then have to repeat the process morning and night for the next 12 weeks.
By the end of those few months, hopefully I’d have fuller, thicker-looking eyebrows that even Lily Collins would respect.
