We blinked, and somehow, it’s already mid-April. How?! But even though we couldn’t be happier that spring is in full swing, we have to admit, we’re kind of already yearning for summer. (Can you blame us after that winter?) It’ll probably get here before we can say estival solstice, but Selena Gomez isn’t waiting any longer to break out her best summery glam.
Makeup artist Jenna Nicole shared a photo of Gomez on Friday showing the entertainer-turned-entrepreneur in a makeup look teeming with hues of rose-tinged bronze—a truly perfect transitional hue between spring and summer.
In addition to a creamy, overlined lip and matching cheeks, Nicole tells Allure, “I created her look using all Rare Beauty and her bronzed neutral eye look using the new Essential Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette,” and eight-shade mix of mattes and metallics.
Gomez’s hair really takes it to another summery level with textbook beachy waves. In addition to giving her tousled, soft bends, hairstylist Marissa Marino added a few inches of seamlessly matching extensions to her lob, which Gomez has, of late, been wearing super-sleek.
Now, would we recommend wearing this look to the actual beach? Not if you plan on actually going in the ocean or sweating to the point of a glam meltdown, no. But for a breezy backyard barbecue or a rooftop party at sunset, there’s no better inspiration than Gomez’s warmth and waves.
