Bad Bunny’s halftime Super Bowl performance was a celebration of love, joy, and diversity—and of course, his beloved Puerto Rico. The show was full of references to the island and its diaspora in America, from the coco frio cart and sugarcane field to a cameo by Toñita, the owner of Caribbean Social Club, an iconic Puerto Rican social club in New York City. Lady Gaga, who joined Bad Bunny on stage for a surprise (and salsa-fied) performance of her song “Die With a Smile,” also honored the beauty of PR via details incorporated throughout her ensemble. The singer wore a custom blue Luar dress the color of Puerto Rico’s independence flag, and a Piers Atkinson corsage featuring the country’s national flower, the flor de maga. Her hair and makeup team took it one step further and matched her lips and nails to the corsage.
Makeup artist Sarah Tanno used a “Haus Labs icon”—specifically, the Atomic Shake Lip Lacquer—to create Gaga’s look. The bad news? The red lipstick is no longer available, according to Tanno’s Instagram post. The good news? “It will be making a return soon,” she adds. In the comments section, fans are eager for the product’s comeback. “If Atomic Lip Lacquer comes back I fear I need every color 😍😍,” one person wrote. The closest existing product in the range is probably the Le Monster Lip Crayon in Scarlet Matte.
On Gaga’s eyes, the brand confirmed Tanno used the Haus Labs Precision Sculpt Shaping Balm in Sculpt and Taper, the Power Sculpt Velvet Bronzer in Terra Sol and Amber Horizon, both of its black eyeliner formulas (pencil and liquid), as well as the B Structural Mascara. We’ll update with more products as we receive more details. On her cheeks, the Color Fuse Blush in Hibiscus Haze, echoed the red rosy tones of her lipstick and accessories.
