It’s a blush! It’s a mirror! It’s a… perfume? The SIDIA Solid Perfume doesn’t look like your average fragrance—and that’s probably why I love it so much. (I’m an Aquarius; we tend to stray from the herd.)
Inside the sleek black compact—which is smaller than my palm, but larger than a half-dollar—lives a solid scent. It’s made with a base of microcrystalline wax and nourishing jojoba oil; both ingredients give the texture a super-smooth, buttery finish. Like, it literally melts on contact.
Although the brand currently offers three scent options (Braless, Soaked, and Midas), in the February Allure Beauty Box, subscribers were able to choose between Braless, a milky floral with notes of violet, vanilla cream, and musk; and Soaked, a warm woody with cypress, cedarwood, and amber. I tend to lean more toward Braless, which is lighter and muskier—just how I like my fragrances.
While there’s no real way to apply a solid perfume, I find I get the most scentful results by dipping and swirling my finger directly onto its smooth surface. Then I delicately rub that same finger into my pulse points (wrist, neck, and inner elbow).
Because the compact is so tiny and travel-friendly, reapplication is a breeze—and much needed since solids typically don’t have much scent pull and last only a couple of hours before dissipating. So dip, swirl, and repeat all day for optimal aromatic results and lots of compliments.
You can find the SIDIA Solid Perfume in Braless or Soaked, along with other editor-loved products, in the February Allure Beauty Box.
