Look at those curls, Khloé Kardashian! Though the Good American founder and Kardashians star has naturally curly hair, we don’t often see her in curls—until now, anyway! She’s starting August with some of the biggest, boldest curls we’ve seen her in… well, it’s been awhile.
In a series of new photos posted to her Instagram, Kardashian poses wearing her bronde hair in long, loose curls with tons and tons of volume and body throughout, similar to how Mariah Carey wore her hair during the early- to mid-’90s. Kardashian’s hair, which was styled by frequent collaborator Justine Marjan, was parted to one side and tousled ever so slightly to give the curls extra fluffiness, with a portion of hair swept over one eye for that timeless peekaboo effect and the rest spilling over her shoulders. The curls also spotlighted her warm honey highlights, which practically glimmered against the honey-bronde base. Makeup artist Melissa Hurkman gave the star a soft, romantic glam with rosy cheeks and full lashes, which glowed in the golden-hour light.
Kardashian’s followers were obsessed with the departure from her usual long blowouts, beachy waves, and sleek bobs, filling up the comment section with heart-eye emojis. Noted curly girl Shakira even chimed in with a “Bella!” and we have to say, we agree 100 percent.
Back in 2021, Kardashian posted a selfie showing off her natural curly texture, saying that though she rarely wore her hair naturally curly, she was feeling “kinda cute” in them that day. Since then, she has brought the curls out to play a few times, and if you’ve ever seen childhood photos of the reality star as a child—and I’m sure you have, because the family posts lots of throwback snapshots for birthdays and just because—you’ll know that Kardashian had the most adorable curls when she was little. (However, she’s shared that she’s had many straightening treatments over the years.) Given all the love in her comment section from this curl resurgence, we hope she starts wearing her hair curly more often!
