After a purge amongst the ranks, Leeds’s premium country band Divorce Finance have returned with comeback single ‘You Can’t Say Whore on the Radio’. Self-recorded on cassette between their practice room and new member Prize Pig’s bedroom (because producers keep trying to turn them into some polished ‘post-punk’ [fka Indie-Rock] product), Divorce Finance are back and more DIY than ever. Sacred Buzz is a 4-piece psych garage band from Berlin, Germany. It materialized out of thin air in the hot summer of 2023 and already became known for stirring up Berlin’s psych underground scene with their mesmerizing blend of raw energy, kaleidoscopic patterns, and psychedelic rhythm. Sacred Buzz has kickstarted their live show path by playing at Berlin’s loudest venue Urban Spree in mid-November 2023. First Ever Release Of BBC Radio Sessions By Seminal UK Industrial Metal Act – Backseat Mafia
Cold Spring is extremely proud to announce the first ever release of the legendary BBC radio sessions that the seminal Nottingham-formed industrial metal act Pitchshifter recorded for the late, great John Peel in the early 1990s. These ultra heavy tracks were recorded over two sessions at the iconic BBC Maida Vale Studios on 28th April 1991 and 30th March 1993 and were sourced directly from the BBC Archives (with thanks), with careful remastering for CD and vinyl. The 1991 session was recorded during the same period that saw the release of the band’s debut album, ‘Industrial’ (Deaf Records/Peaceville), with the 1993 session recorded around the time of its follow-up, ‘Desensitized’ (Earache). “If…
