Lola Wild Shares ‘Jump The Gun’ From Upcoming EP – Backseat Mafia
Lola Wild shares the selling new single ‘Jump The Gun’ from the forthcoming EP, Lost Signal. A slow-burning ballad steeped in glimmering 80s instrumentation and an ultra-cool, vintage aura, the track is drenched in the melancholy of heartbreak and unmet expectations, wrapped in the shimmering aesthetic of 80s production with a modern twist. Written by Lola Wild and produced by Jim Wallis (Still Corners, Modern Nature), ‘Jump the Gun’ was brought to life at the legendary Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch, London. The song is a bittersweet, nostalgic trip, produced with a retrospective touch that’s both dreamlike and haunting. Wrapped in a melancholy haze that echoes heartbreak and regret, its layers of warm reverb…

GUN – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds – 10.12.24 – Backseat Mafia
GUN, Scottish rock stalwarts that you’ll doubtless remember from the 90s, brought their Hombres tour to Leeds’ legendary Brudenell Social Club. Shooting to prominence off the back of a couple of good albums and a big hit with their cover of Word Up, the band were a regular fixture on the rock and festival scene through the mid 1990s. We are therefore catatonic with excitement to carry on the tradition and bring you an exclusive listen to his new project, in which Meares eschews the ambient and ethereal for the full blooded rock’n’roll experience. OK, it’s still ethereal, but with a vibrating combustion engine to power the prose. Meares has put together a Melbourne-based rock quintet called Jo Meares’ Silver Bullets (let’s ignore the…

Machine Gun Kelly’s Tattoos and Their Meanings
Machine Gun Kelly’s “The Darkest Fairytale” Tattoo One of the first texts that MGK and Megan Fox exchanged included the phrase “the darkest fairytale.” So, of course, the couple decided to immortalize that moment through matching body art. While Fox decided to put hers on the inside of her left forearm, Kelly opted to get the script on the right side of his hip, running diagonally down. Machine Gun Kelly’s Double-Decker Tattoo A bright red double-decker bus is tattooed on his right ribcage with the date “5-11-13” written across it. The windscreen is cracked as it hits a stick figure that appears to be in midair. The piece depicts a…
