We’ve had a sneaking suspicion that Gigi Hadid<\/strong> has been itching to move away from her signature blonde. Back in October, beauty watchers were buzzing when she walked the Victoria’s Secret runway with a decidedly brunette look, and she’s since been seen looking quite bronde. But nothing could have prepared us for her full-speed-ahead switch to the dark side of the hair-color spectrum.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, January 8, stylist Dimitris Giannetos posted an Instagram carousel of four stunning photos showing off a totally transformed Hadid: \u201cNew color | cut for my beautiful @gigihadid for @maybelline,\u201d he wrote in the caption, where he called the look a \u201cmatte black mini bob.\u201d<\/p>\n The swoopy chop, with flipped-out ends and a deep side part, has been styled into a wet look\u2014but there’s no mistaking that, even fully dry, her hair would be perhaps the darkest we’ve ever seen it. Giannetos tells Allure<\/em> that he calls the color \u201cmatte black\u201d because it avoids having any red undertones.<\/p>\n As for the mini bob, \u201cIt’s chic, it’s new, it’s modern,\u201d Giannetos tells Allure<\/em>. \u201cYou can tuck it behind the ears, you can leave some face-framing pieces.
