Gone are Tim Curry\u2019s colorless face palette and short curls, and in their place: bold, painted-on brows, seafoam green-glitter eyelids, and a wig so fabulous, Evans can\u2019t help but twirl its ends numerous times throughout the show (when he\u2019s feeling flirty, you know?).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first day I put Luke in Frank-N-Furter makeup, Sam told us to \u2018go really small,\u2019 and I said, \u2018Great!\u2019 And then I did not go very small; I went very Siouxsie Sioux, Club Kid drag\u2026and Luke <em>loved<\/em> it,\u201d says Tull. According to Evans, it\u2019s his exaggerated brows and the \u201csharp, smoky intensity around the eyes\u201d that are key to his transformation, allowing him as Frank to \u201ccontrol the room, seduce everyone, and destroy people a little bit at the same time,\u201d he says. \u201cThere\u2019s something almost cinematic about this version of [Frank-N-Furter]\u2014beautiful, dangerous, and sexy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In bringing Rocky to life, both designers drew inspiration from the Club Kids, those exuberant, fashion-obsessed personalities who ruled and fueled New York City\u2019s nightlife in the 1980s and \u201990s.
