As a mother of a young child, I often think about immortalizing one of his drawings in tattoo form, a sweet reminder of the little person he was. That’s why I was zero percent surprised to see Rihanna’s latest ink, a precious design created for her by her kids\u2014just in time for Mother’s Day!<\/p>\n
Rihanna, who has a plethora of tattoos, worked with longtime collaborator Keith McCurdy of Bang Bang Tattoo in New York City on the tattoo, which was inspired by a series of colorful scribbles done by either her oldest child, RZA, or younger son, Riot, or maybe a combination of the two artists working together! She brought in a piece of paper featuring the design, but kept the scribbles in black ink versus duplicating the colorful markers used by the young artists. (She also skipped including the Paw Patrol stickers that adorned the paper.) \u201cFamily tats,\u201d McCurdy wrote on Instagram, noting that Rihanna’s new ink was \u201cdesigned by her babies.\u201d The scribble art was placed right in the bend of her knee, with some of the design just barely brushing her lower thigh.<\/p>\n
How cute, right? And how much fun for RZA (almost 4) and Riot (2.5) to have their art featured on their mom’s body forever!
