Kerry Washington must have known that I desperately needed a mood boost after a March snowstorm, because she brought the springtime sunshine to the red carpet with the prettiest blonde braid.<\/p>\n
Washington was in New York City for a SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations event for her new Apple TV series Imperfect Women,<\/em> speaking alongside her costars Kate Mara and Elisabeth Moss. For the event, the actor wore her hair in a long, textured braid that incorporated multiple shades of brown and blonde, including some very bright, chunky highlights woven throughout. Washington’s braid began as two braids on either side of her middle part, and the two sections met at the back of her head and fused into one thicker side braid, which she wore over one shoulder. This wasn’t just a blonde braid\u2014it was also a very long braid, flowing all the way down to her hips.<\/p>\n Getty Images<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n This is definitely one of Washington’s blondest looks in awhile, with shades of gold, wheat, and honey blonde popping up throughout the braid. Most striking, however, is the super-blonde, nearly platinum color in the mid-lengths, blended with chocolate and espresso brunette tones.
