Most of us associate neuromodulators like Botox with an image of a syringe poised precisely above the forehead or between a furrowed brow\u2014not a needle ominously placed in the shaft of a penis. But that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s happening, as more men are having neuromodulators injected into their nether regions. We know this because they\u2019re not afraid to share this information, either.<\/p>\n
On a new episode of his podcast Boyfriend Material<\/em>, Australian influencer and Dancing with the Stars<\/em> alum Harry Jowsey revealed that he had Botox injections in his most sensitive area, seemingly for cosmetic reasons. “I actually did get Botox [in my penis],” Jowsey shared, adding that one of his friends has also done it. “They said it relaxes the muscle. It’s very smooth now, which is good.\u201d (Jowsey also noted that while you can also get your scrotum injected, he decided not pursue that specific cosmetic lane.)<\/p>\n And in news that will surprise absolutely no one familiar with his longevity endeavors, tech entrepreneur and bio-hacking fanatic Bryan Johnson also had penile Botox. In his case, the goal was extra length, as well as better erections. \u201cIt increases penis length by 1 cm,\u201d he wrote on X in 2024, adding that Botox injections can also improve \u201cerection hardness, peak systolic velocity, end diastolic velocity, and sexual health satisfaction.\u201d (We\u2019ll get back to those claims in a second).<\/p>\n Later, Johnson combined Botox with shockwave therapy, which he said \u201cbrought my night time [sic] erection biological age to around 20.\u201d Roy Kim, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in San Francisco, confirms that there may be a \u201cmodest improvement\u201d in penis size via Botox injections. \u201cIf you inject Botox into areas of vascular smooth muscle, the penis appears larger, but only about one centimeter,\u201d he says. As for those \u201cbiological age\u201d claims, Dr. Kim says that living a healthy lifestyle, including exercise and abstaining from smoking and alcohol, can improve penile health, so Johnson\u2019s overall approach to wellness is probably making a difference in his erections. \u201cI\u2019m not certain how many men are optimizing their health before considering Botox, low dose Cialis\u2026 but yes, they do help,\u201d Dr. Kim shares.<\/p>\n
