But as soon as I saw Selena Gomez‘s latest manicure, I knew exactly what the trend should be called, should it happen to take off: jelly bean nails.

Nail artist Tom Bachik—Gomez’s go-to guy—posted a photo of the actor-turned-entrepreneur’s hands posed on a fuzzy, pink surface. Even pinker: the polish Bachik used for this pretty look. “The perfect blush shade for Spring featuring a sneak peek at my ‘BS-104’ color from my new @shoptombachik series launching March 16th,” Bachik wrote in the caption, calling the look a “juicy pink gloss mani.” But while Bachik is the expert, I have to object. These nails look almost exactly like Jelly Belly bubble gum-flavor jelly beans. Therefore, I simply must call them jelly bean nails.

I mean, am I wrong? The curved shape, the milky, not-quite-opaque finish, the color (obviously). It’s like she topped off her fingertips with the chewy candy. The simple yet stunning set really looks like it’s ready for an Easter photo shoot.

“For spring and summer, nudes will still be milky-sheer but have brighter, more intense undertones,” Bachik tells Allure. “Sel loves this shade because it’s like a bubble gum blush lip gloss for the nails. Sheer, but still bright baby pink.”

It’s refreshing to see such a sweet, pastel shade in the middle of winter, especially with part of the country getting pummeled with snow. You can’t help but think of all things spring, just around the corner. And it’s an easy look to copy to lift your mood on these gray February days.

Can’t wait for Bachik’s new polish? We love Essie Jelly Gloss in Blush Jelly, as well as Olive & June’s Pink Jelly Press-Ons if you don’t feel like wielding the brush yourself.

More celeb beauty news:

When it comes to naming manicure trends, some monikers come easier than others.
